Two silent films, Mighty like a Moose (1926) and The Pawn Shop,( 1916) are projected on a screen behind a chamber ensemble of violin, flute, bassoon, banjo/guitar, piano and percussion who are playing with head sets on in time with a “click-track”. Both films are very gripping, clever and modern and are refreshingly free of obvious clichés and excessive slapstick.

Performance Time

The two films add up to 48 minutes (23 for the Chase and 25 for the Chaplin).

Target Audience

Grades 7 - 8. Number of students: 30-150.

Cost

$2,500 per performance.
