Make your own violin!

Make your own violin with elastic bands around an empty hollow cardboard box. When the bands are drawn taut they can be plucked to produce a sound. You can vary the tension, tighten the bands and get a higher sound or hold one of the bands making it shorter and this will also make the sound higher. Experiment with tension and length to get the sounds that you want.
