Storyteller's Bag
Mississauga was named for the Native people who inhabited the area before the Europeans arrived. Inspired by some of these first inhabitants of Mississauga, the Ojibway, two Aboriginal actors and a chamber ensemble of strings, clarinet and percussion explore some old legends ("The Muskrat's Dive," "The Star Lily" and "How the Loon Got its Necklace) and some new Canadian music.
