For flute/piccolo, clarinet/bass clarinet, violin, viola, cello, piano/celesta, percussion (vibraphone, glockenspiel, tubular chimes, water chimes, timpani, crotales, triangle, splash cymbals, sizzle cymbal, tam-tam, bass drum, bell tree, tom-tom and waterphone) and narrator. Originally commissioned by Espace Musique for the Pierrot Ensemble with the assistance of The Ontario Arts Council.
