“SUPPORT LIVE PERFORMANCES IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS”
“Scientific studies have conclusively shown that this type of early exposure to the performing arts and the easy access to an experience of the arts has a positive, long-lasting impact on children's learning and self esteem. Currently many elementary schools (especially in the culturally under-serviced communities of Mississauga and the schools with predominately new Canadians) do not have strong arts programs and frequently teachers do not have the skills, confidence or resources to teach the curriculum expectations for the performing arts. And finally, schools do not have the funds to purchase these programs.”
What the Kids say!
Hi Peggy-

We had the pleasure of having Stephen Pierre come and do a pre-concert visit at Erin Mills Middle School for The Carpet of Dreams.
The students thoroughly enjoyed his presentation! He was engaging and really got our kids enthused about the upcoming show.

Thanks to you and Stephen for providing this  opportunity!

Hi Peggy
You are awesome!
Thank you so much for taking the  time to visit Orangeville. The kids were thrilled to be part of your performance. You did such a great job of keeping their attention -even after an indoor recess! Truly, a seasoned professional. There was lots of excited chatter in my class about wanting to play the violin. Thank you for giving them the bug.
We look forward to seeing you in 2 weeks.
